Scott Spina, or Scotty Kickz as he is known in the sneaker world pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud and was looking at up to 20 years in Federal Prison according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office statement.
Spina made the admission Tuesday that he’d stolen customers’ credit card information.

The 20-year -old New Jersey man who had entered the sneaker business through selling sneakers online and through getting shoes for then-New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs, it led to him becoming acquainted with other pros and eventually meeting and partnering with Fat Joe and together opening the sneaker store UP NYC. The relationship between the two ultimately took a downturn and Spina ended up suing Joe. The company that handled the store’s card transactions filed suit against both men.
He used the credit card information for the purchased they were intended but for his own purposes which included a golf cart, ATV, and other items. He also ran up charges on his personal card then reported them to the credit card company as fraudulent. The extent of Spina’s illicit credit card activity was approximately $550,000.
